If you find yourself having difficulty co-parenting, you might want to consider getting a court app stat. What is a court app you might ask? Court apps are highly recommended in most family court laws for parents to have effective communication. I’m not saying disrespect isn’t possible, I’m just saying you are least likely to be called outside of your name by your child’s mother or father on a court monitored app.
A lot of apps also implemented expense logs which help both parties document finances for the child. This sends reminders for upcoming payments and allows you to store your invoices and receipts. In addition to that, you can always have a place to easily reference communication in writing such as what was agreed upon. You can send photos, videos and files on most court apps and some even allow you to enable phone and video calls.
Whether you want to explore the idea of a court app or you’re just trying to decide which one to get, we got you covered. Below are 3 court apps you should consider:
Talking Parents:
TalkingParents was created in 2011 by a family law attorney, Stephen Nixon. In 2014 it went International, in 2016 it became a mobile app and as of 2020 it has reached over a half of a million users. According to their website, they offer 3 packages. A completely free membership, a standard subscription for $9.99/month that allows you send and receive. payments like child support, and information library that allows you to share things like emergency contacts and allergy details as well as unlimited PDF records. Their premium package for $24.99 a month allows everything in the standard package in addition to phone calling, video calling and express accountable payments.

The max package is $24.99 a month and allows call recordings, call transcripts and secure storage for all recordings and transcripts for 90 days.
coParenter:
First I want to start by saying that I love their slogan “Put your kids at the center, not the middle.” CoParenter offers a free 30-day trial. Though I could not find their rates listed directly on their website, there were some things that immediately stuck out to me that they offer. This included professional mediators, a joint calendar and transcripts. It also offered a blog with important information such as how-to co-parent with a restraining order, how to get supervised visitation removed and how to prevent 50/50 custody.
